David's Sampler

This is David's art for this week. He had to make a sampler, like they did in the old days. He only had to draw it instead of embroider it. This is a saying by Sophocles, but Yoda said it also. David wanted to give the credit to Yoda, so I let him. The scene on the top is of Dagobagh, Yoda's home planet. Between the two trees on the left is a hammock. You can also see Yoda's hut on the top, and a small Yoda figure by the hut. The green things on the sides and bottom are snakes.

Drum Roll Please!

Now, are you going CRAZY? I just thought I would have a little bit of fun, not very often I get to do that. The bishop has asked me to be part of the Relief Society Presidency. Like I said before, I never thought I would be part of a presidency. I just don't feel that I have the spiritual strength necessary to do something like this. Oh well, I guess who the Lord calls he qualifies. I am going to hold Him to that! I will be the Education Counselor. Basically, helping with all things educational. It should be an interesting ride. I guess buckle up and hold on tight!

Changing Callings Again?

About a month ago I was released from being the ward organist (a calling I have had for the last 20 years, seriously!!!!!). The only time I wasn't doing that was the week or two between wards, until they found I could play. It was bittersweet. I was called to be the Primary Pianist. I do enjoy being there. Now, I am being released from that calling to be moved to something I have NEVER even thought I would EVER do!!! Just try to guess?!? Can't think of anything, well neither could I. I couln't even think of why the bishop would want to talk to me. I mean, what else would they want me to do. Well, I will let you know in a couple of days. Come back soon! ;-)
